Default MATLAB 2012a now ships with OPeNDAP capability

This is an announcement from James Gallagher who leads the OPeNDAP development.

Quote:
Matlab 2012a was released yesterday and includes the netcdf 4.1.2 library with OPeNDAP support turned on! This means that any OPeNDAP-served dataset that can be read with common netcdf applications (Panoply, Ferret, GrADS, IDV, ) can now be read using Matlab.

Here's a bit more about the feature, along with an example: http://www.opendap.org/user/jimg/blog/matlab_2012a

Thanks,
James
