Learning HDF5 with HDF-View

This Tutorial is designed for users who would like to learn how to access data in HDF5 file. We will use Java-based HDF browser/editor HDFView to introduce HDF5 data model and to show how to import and export data to and from HDF5 files. HDFView will be used to access data on the remote server using SRB technologies.

Accompanied C and Fortran Programming examples will demonstrate the HDF5 programming model and explain the magic behind HDFView. We will help participants to familiarize themselves with the HDF5 documentation including HDF5 Tutorials, sample programs, FAQ and other HDF5 on-line resources.
